The event begins Thursday evening with an open house featuring cocktails, food, and opportunities to connect with fellow producers and industry guests. Friday’s program will feature speakers covering the story of Akaushi, value-added beef cuts, menu opportunities from an executive chef’s perspective, and how chefs and consumers view premium beef. University of Tennessee Ph.D. speakers will share expertise on marketing cattle, managing risk and protecting your operation, and utilizing cattle genomics to make informed breeding and management decisions. Attendees will also experience live pasture walks, hands-on cattle evaluation, and practical learning opportunities designed to help producers better understand and position their Akaushi cattle.
