Tim Stallings
ChairmanTim Stallings is an experienced ranch manager with decades of experience in cattle production, ranch operations, and agricultural management. He began his ranch management career in 1988 after completing his studies at TCU Ranch Management and joined McMinn Ranches, where he worked alongside his wife and co-manager, Susie. In 2003, McMinn Ranch relocated to Gustine, Texas.
Over their 26 years with McMinn Ranches, Tim and Susie earned recognition across the United States and Canada, breeding and exhibiting numerous champions, including the National Champion Polled Hereford Bull in 1994 and multiple Champion Pen Bulls at the National Western Stock Show in Denver.
They later spent 12 years managing Artesian Ranch in Gustine, Texas, formerly McMinn Ranch, where they focused on building an Akaushi Herd and cultivating Texas Native Pecans while maintaining a commitment to sustainable practices and industry excellence.
Today, Tim is applying his extensive background to a Ranch and Livestock Marketing & Consulting service that supports ranches and livestock producers with marketing strategies, herd development, operational management, and industry connections. His leadership, hands-on experience, and proven success continue to make a lasting impact on the ranching and livestock industries.
TreasurerHoward Davis
Howard Davis was born in Huntsville, Texas, and raised in Beaumont, Texas. He attended LSU, where he earned a degree in mathematics. He served for five years in the U.S. Army during the 1970s. He later received his MBA from the Bauer Business School at the University of Houston. Howard spent 40 years working in the oil and gas and chemical industries in Houston. Since 2012, he and his wife, Carolyn, have raised Akaushi-crossed cattle on their 150-year-old historic ranch in western Walker County, Texas.
MemberRonald Beeman
Mr. Beeman has been active in building branded meat programs across the U.S. for almost 50 years. In 1998, Mr. Beeman acquired Eddy Packing, which was primarily a carcass kill facility. Serving as President of Eddy Packing, he evolved the business into a leading branded meat business and successfully grew the company’s sales until he sold Eddy Packing in 2011. Mr. Beeman has been active with HeartBrand Cattle Company since 1998. Along with his son Jordan he was able to acquire all the assets of HeartBrand Cattle Company in May 2006 and formed HeartBrand Holdings. HeartBrand has grown to become one of the leading high-quality branded meat programs in the U.S. today. The cattle operation ranks in the top 10 registered cow herds/cattle operations in the U.S. selling both meat and cattle genetics across the U.S. as well as internationally including Australia, South Korea, China, Canada, South America and South Africa. Mr. Beeman currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for HeartBrand Holdings.
MemberAaron Harris
Based in Bryan, Texas, Aaron Harris works in data science and livestock production. He builds artificial intelligence solutions for Fortune 500 companies and uses his technical background to advise the board of directors on data and technology matters. Within the association, Aaron serves as the chair of both the Research and Breed Improvement Committee and the Cattle Show and Exposition Committee.
Aaron operates Mistvale Akaushi with his wife Alicia, a fullblood beef program established in 2021. The operation focuses on fullblood Akaushi beef for direct sale to consumers. Our ranch does a little with seedstock; where our genetics target growth and marbling efficency traits.
Aaron is also a founder and the current leader of Wagyu Zenkyo North America. Alongside these roles, Aaron provides part-time genetic consulting and has been a speaker at the Akaushi Association Convention and Wagyu Edge in Australia.
Andrew Pryor
Vice ChairmanAndrew Pryor is a native of Eastern Tennessee, where he manages Akaushi cattle and a branded beef program at Sixteen Peaks Cattle Company. He and his family are dedicated to producing high-quality Akaushi genetics and premium Akaushi beef, with an emphasis on performance, carcass merit, and profitability throughout the beef supply chain. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, he and his wife, Hope, are raising the next generation on their ranch with their son, Stetson, and daughter, Stella. Passionate about advancing the Akaushi breed, he is committed to supporting association members, promoting genetic improvement, and expanding opportunities for producers to capture value through superior beef quality. He remains dedicated to the long-term growth and success of the American Akaushi industry.
SecretaryAlyssa Hind
Alyssa Hind is a fifth-generation South Texas rancher and co-owner of Hind Cattle Company with her husband, Jason. Together, they operate a commercial and registered Akaushi cow-calf and stocker program focused on raising structurally sound, efficient cattle that perform both on the ranch and on the rail.
Alyssa is actively involved in cattle management, the feeding program, marketing, and daily ranch operations. Her parents Felo and Stephanie Martinez also raises Akaushi beef for direct-to-consumer sales through 2F Akaushi Beef, giving her experience throughout the beef production chain.
As Secretary of the American Akaushi Association, Alyssa is committed to strengthening communication, transparency, and member involvement while helping advance the Akaushi breed. She and Jason are raising their two children Ava and Justus Hind in the ranching way of life, teaching them the values of faith, family, hard work, and responsible stewardship.
MemberGreg Anderson
Greg Anderson is a rancher and retired Navy pilot who has been raising premium Akaushi cattle for nearly 10 years. He has a strong belief in the Akaushi breed, its value to the beef industry, and feels a deep kinship with the fellow breeders and members of the Association. His military career instilled a commitment to discipline, precision, and attention to detail - qualities that guide his approach to ranching and land stewardship today. A dedicated advocate for ethical livestock production and traditional ranching practices, Greg values hard work, responsible stewardship, and the enduring principles of cowboy culture. Integrity, character, and honesty remain the foundation of both his ranching operation and his business relationships.
