Whole Herd Reporting season is just around the corner, and now is the time to make sure your herd records are accurate and up to date.
Preliminary inventories will be distributed on September 1, followed by official Whole Herd Reports on October 1. Taking a few minutes now to review your records will help ensure a smooth and accurate reporting process this fall.
To avoid delays or discrepancies, please make sure you have:
Completed all DNA submissions
Recorded any recent transfers for purchased or sold cattle
Verified that your herd inventory reflects current ownership
Maintaining accurate records not only supports your operation but also strengthens the integrity and progress of the Akaushi breed as a whole.

Official Fall Whole Herd Reporting
Whole Herd Reporting is our annual assessment for reproductively mature fullblood and purebred Akaushi animals 24 months of age and older. It helps keep herd records current and ensures animals are properly accounted for through the registration process. The Fall Whole Herd Report will be sent out on October 1, so please review your inventory and be ready to update any cattle that have been sold, culled, or added to your herd.
Texas Cattle Feeders Association Convention
JOIN TCFA FOR THE CATTLE FEEDING EVENT OF THE YEAR!
The TCFA 2026 Annual Convention is headed to Oklahoma City. The upcoming convention will offer dynamic speakers and plenty of opportunities to make memories and have a great time!
Early registration and the room block close on Sept. 17. However the room block may fill up prior to Sept. 17.

Sixteen Peaks Field Day
Join Sixteen Peaks October 22–23 at Sixteen Peaks in Louisville, Tennessee, for an interactive Akaushi Field Day built around education, connection, and practical ranch-to-restaurant insight. The event begins Thursday evening with an open house featuring cocktails, food, and opportunities to connect with fellow producers and industry guests. Friday’s program will feature speakers covering the story of Akaushi, value-added beef cuts, menu opportunities from an executive chef’s perspective, and how chefs and consumers view premium beef. University of Tennessee Ph.D. speakers will share expertise on marketing cattle, managing risk and protecting your operation, and utilizing cattle genomics to make informed breeding and management decisions. Attendees will also experience live pasture walks, hands-on cattle evaluation, and practical learning opportunities designed to help producers better understand and position their Akaushi cattle.

Inspired by Japan's legendary Zenkyo cattle show — held once every five years and known as the "Wagyu Olympics" — the North American Wagyu Zenkyo brings that spirit of excellence to the American continent. Organized by the Texas Wagyu Association, American Akaushi Association, and the American Wagyu Association, this is the premier gathering of Black Wagyu, Akaushi, Composite, and Percentage cattle in North America.
Beyond the show ring, the event celebrates Wagyu culture: live culinary demonstrations, a steak competition, food trucks, and an industry tradeshow — something for breeders, chefs, and food lovers alike.

The 2026 Nebraska Cattlemen Annual Convention and Trade Show will take place on December 9-11 at Younes Conference Center South in Kearney, Nebraska. For details will be provided on this page as they become available.
