Before joining the American Akaushi Association, Amanda spent 20 years in banking and has been involved in the oil industry for approximately 12 years, with ties to the industry throughout her life. A fifth-generation Flatonia native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and spent 14 years living in Houston before returning home in 2014. Having spent a significant part of her life in both places, she considers Flatonia and Houston home.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, and exploring new foods. She and her husband, Alex, have a 12-year-old son, Able, and enjoy spending time together as a family.
