2026 Membership Letter

Dear American Akaushi Association Members,

It is a tremendous honor and privilege to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Akaushi Association. I am grateful for the confidence placed in me by my fellow board members and look forward to working alongside them to continue advancing our breed and strengthening our Association.

As your Board of Directors, we are committed to making the Association more member-driven by listening to our membership, encouraging participation, and creating opportunities that provide value to both small and large Akaushi breeders. Our goal is to build a stronger, more engaged organization that supports every member while positioning the Akaushi breed for continued growth and long-term success.

I am also proud to announce that the American Akaushi Association has officially transitioned to a 501(c)(5) nonprofit agricultural association. This important milestone strengthens our foundation, enhances our ability to serve and represent our members, and reinforces our commitment to promoting and advancing the Akaushi breed for generations to come.

Another important initiative currently underway is the implementation of the Helical registry platform, which will replace Digital Beef. This modern system will provide our members with improved herd registry capabilities, streamlined data management, and a more efficient platform to support their breeding operations.

In addition to these improvements, the Board is placing a renewed focus on membership activities and breed promotion. We plan to expand opportunities for members to connect through field days, educational programs, shows, sales, and other events that showcase the quality and value of Akaushi cattle while strengthening relationships throughout our membership.

The future of our breed depends on the next generation, and developing a strong Junior Program is a top priority. We are committed to investing in our youth by creating opportunities for education, leadership development, and participation in Association activities. By engaging young people today, we are investing in the future of the Akaushi breed.

The American Akaushi Association has accomplished a great deal over the years, and I believe our greatest opportunities still lie ahead. Working together, we will continue building an Association that serves breeders of every size, promotes the Akaushi breed, and creates opportunities for future generations.

“Whether you own five cows or five hundred, your voice matters, and we encourage every member to become involved as we shape the future of our Association together.”

Thank you for your continued support of the American Akaushi Association. I look forward to working with each of you as we move our Association forward together.

Sincerely,

Tim Stallings
Chairman of the Board
American Akaushi Association
